So an important part of your job will be to forge strong relationships with the University and customers as you promote and support Aspire: a unique programme for the cashless distribution of bursaries via smart cards. From books and stationery, to electronics and confectionery, our wide product range suits every customer's need and you will be responsible for driving existing and new products in our marketplace.

In this high-profile flagship role, every aspect of the store's day-to-day management will be down to you - from selecting suppliers and scoping new products to merchandising, negotiating costs, establishing new processes, identifying sales and marketing opportunities and driving key strategic processes to maximize the profitability of your business. As you coach, motivate and inspire your team, you will create a commercially-focused culture that drives outstanding P&L results.

A proven performance manager with flair, creativity and a proactive approach, you thrive in a busy and constantly changing environment. The confidence to communicate and negotiate at all levels is a must too, along with first-rate problem solving skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to make big decisions quickly and under pressure.
